Billet Shifter

Brief introduction to billet shifter:
Billet shifter is a steel pipe traversing device made up of multiple columns by Swedish technology Whiston lever. It can remove billets without any impact, and its lifting motion and horizontal motion can be done all at once during the rotational process of Whiston lever. During the rotating, the chain installed in the lever makes sure that bracket opening direction is always up. Whether it moves from low to high or vice verse, the simple structure of billet shifter can achieve steady, fast and accurate operation while ensuring the quality of the surface of steel pipe; and improve working environment by reducing noise while ensuring the quality of the surface of the rolled pieces.
Whiston lever is a mechanism to move materials at translational motion. It consists of five parts: bracket, chain-drive mechanism, tumbler, control apparatus and balance weight. Bracket is used to load steel pipe and do translational motion with steel pipes. Chain-drive mechanism, made up of operative chain wheel, fixed chain wheel and tensioning gear, ensuring that bracket and steel pipe keep translational motion instead of rotating with tumbler. Tumbler rotates with driving shaft and is installed with chain-driving mechanism, transporting the torque of driving shaft to bracket. The control apparatus is mainly used to adjust bracket, in case that bracket might tilt, and it is installed with fixed chain wheel. Balancing weight can balance the rotating lever when there is no loading, and compensating for parts of the torque when loading.
